Get paid for your solar energy with Spanish Energy
Learn how to make the most of your solar panels and lower your household energy bills

If you have solar panels at home, Spanish Energy, in association with Gana Energia, has made it even more worthwhile. They now pay 6 cents per kilowatt for any solar energy you feed back into the grid. This means the electricity your panels produce can directly reduce your bills. On top of that, a competitive rate is offered for the electricity you consume, along with access to a Solar Cloud system so you can easily track your usage and performance.
Unlike some providers, all of your solar excess is credited to your bill, making sure you get full value for every kilowatt you generate.
There’s even more good news for households in Spain. The government has recently introduced tax reductions on electricity and gas, alongside the fuel price cuts we’ve seen in the news. For electricity, VAT has been reduced from 21% to 10% for homes with a power rating of 10 kW or less, while the Electricity Tax falls from 5.11% to 0.5%. Gas bills are also seeing reductions, with both VAT and the Hydrocarbons Tax cut to 10%. These measures are currently in effect from 22 March to 30 June, although they could change depending on the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
If you’re feeding solar energy back into the grid or just want to cut your household bills, now is a great time to review your options. Spanish Energy and its partners can guide you through everything in English, making it easy to see how much you could save.
