Age Concern Costa Calida announce this month’s Age Concern Golden Connections Club whose mission is to “Combating Loneliness, Fostering Friendship”
Loneliness and isolation among seniors have become pressing issues in our communities, casting a shadow over the golden years of many individuals. In response to this societal challenge. Age Concern are thrilled to announce the launch of the Age Concern Golden Connections Club—a haven for those aged 55 and above to come together, forge new friendships, and revitalise their social lives.
With the pace of modern life and changing family structures, many seniors find themselves craving meaningful connections and opportunities for social engagement. The Age Concern Golden Connections Club aims to address this need by providing a welcoming space where members can meet monthly, share experiences, and form lasting bonds.

Whether you're a seasoned social butterfly or someone taking the first steps towards expanding your social circle, the club warmly welcomes you. This month’s lunch will be on Wednesday, May 8 from 2 - 4 p.m. at the fabulous Rendezvous on Camposol A Sector with subsequent lunches being held at the same time on the first Wednesday of every month.
Tickets are just 10 Euros which includes a gorgeous lunch with a choice of: - Cheese, onion and potato pie - Mince and onion pie - Sausage and stuffing pie - All with chips - followed by tea or coffee & Sponge cake.
Tickets are available directly from Rendezvous during their opening hours or from the Age Concern Social Centre, Avenida de los Covachos on Camposol C Sector.

We also offer assistance with local shopping. Whether it’s a weekly grocery run or picking up prescriptions, our volunteers are here to help, ensuring you have everything you need without the stress of shopping alone.
Loneliness is a significant issue, and our befriending service is designed to combat this. Our friendly volunteers provide regular companionship, bringing joy and social interaction to those who may otherwise feel isolated.

For those in need of assistance with mobility, we offer a range of disability equipment for hire to help maintain independence and improve quality of life.
