New direct Valencia flight to 'magical' European city confirmed for 2026
Wizz Air says Valencia has “extraordinary growth potential” as it expands Italian connections

Valencia will have a new direct flight to the Italian city of Turin from 2026 as Wizz Air rolls out a major expansion plan alongside the Visit Valencia Foundation.
The airline has confirmed a 43% increase in seat capacity at Valencia Airport as part of its 2026 growth strategy. The Valencia City Council explained that the move helps consolidate Valencia as a strategic destination in Europe and opens up new opportunities in the Italian market.
A key part of the expansion is the launch of a new direct route between Valencia and Turin, which is scheduled to begin on September 15. The service will run four times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays and will operate during the 2026/27 season.
Paula Llobet, president of the Visit Valencia Foundation and city councillor for Tourism, Innovation and Investment Attraction, said this type of international growth is “key to consolidating Valencia as a competitive, sustainable and globally open European urban destination.”
Wizz Air’s head of communications, Andras Rado, described Valencia as “a vibrant market with extraordinary growth potential, as demonstrated by our ambitious commitment to increasing our seat capacity.”
He also said the airline aims to be “the first choice for smart travel, offering a state-of-the-art, quieter, and more efficient fleet, while also respecting the local environment.”
The route will be operated using an Airbus A321neo with 239 seats, adding more than 7,500 extra tickets each month between the two cities.
Flights from Turin will depart at 6am and arrive in Valencia at 7.50am, while return flights will leave Valencia at 8.35am and land in Turin at 10.25am.
With the addition of Turin, Wizz Air will operate 15 routes from Valencia, strengthening its position as the second largest airline operator at the airport.
Turin itself is often described as one of Europe’s more atmospheric cities, with a mix of grand architecture, historic landmarks and strong cultural identity. It is home to the Shroud of Turin, believed by many to bear the image of Jesus Christ, alongside the Mole Antonelliana, an iconic building originally designed as a synagogue and now one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks.
The city is also known for its sporting culture, including football clubs Juventus and Torino, as well as landmarks such as the Superga Basilica, which commemorates the 1949 plane crash that killed 31 people, and the Egyptian Museum, one of the most important of its kind outside Cairo.
