Sporting Marina, Torre de la Horadada
A quarter of the moorings are reserved for the general public accommodating vessels of up to 12 meters
The marina in La Torre de la Horadada has been open since 1979, offering 539 mooring berths at 37º 52´ N, 00º 45,3´ W. A quarter of these are reserved for use by the general public, admitting boats of up to 12 metres.
113 of the berths measure 5x2 metres, while there are also 275 of 6x2.5 metres, 127 of 8x3 metres and 24 measuring 12x4 metres.
The marina is close to the centre of the popular resort, far from industrial ports and noise pollution, and offers those mooring an opportunity to enjoy the attractions of the coastal area of Pilar de la Horadada. Facilities include a ten-ton crane, dry dock, ramp and various workshops where repairs and upgrades can be carried out.
The Puerto Deportivo organizes various activities throughout the year, including beginners’ courses for both adults and children using Optimist, Cadete and Snipe class boats as well as regattas and races, squid and other fishing excursions and open doors days. It is also a crucial part of the celebrations of the municipality’s patron saint’s day on 15th August, when the Virgen del Pilar is carried aboard a special boat in a marine procession which draws large crowds.
Those wishing to have lunch or dinner with Mediterranean views will certainly be impressed by the location of the Puerto Deportivo, set on a terrace overlooking the marina and the open sea beyond
The Puerto Deportivo is located at Av. del Mar s/n, 03191 Torre de Horadada (Alicante), and can be contacted by telephone on 96 676 9087.
